Pickings are good for Terayon
Terayon has been busy lining up alliances around the globe. In the past week, Terayon has inked deals with Philips Digital Networks, Tadiran Scopus and Thomson Broadcast Systems to distribute Terayon's CherryPicker digital video management system in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The CherryPicker gives network operators flexibility in managing their digital video content. For example, ops can create custom channel lineups using content from different sources - such as satellite and broadcast - to suit the tastes of their subscribers.
The CherryPicker can also be used to manage Near Video-on-Demand (NVOD) and to insert local advertisements into digital channels.
