Austin-based startup DataWeaver has agreed to license VTEL 's TurboCast streaming video technology to offer site visitors a range of e-commerce applications still under development. DataWeaver provides outsourced engineering services.

VTEL has used the technology to broadcast over the Internet its own quarterly earning calls, customer events and a live interactive shareholder forum.

VTEL said it believes TurboCast 2.0 is the natural video streaming technology to support the startup's direction in becoming a viable e-commerce business and a provider of business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications solutions for the Internet.
