Starz is not among the largest programmers, but it frequently is among the first programmers to adopt new technologies. TWC cut the arts and entertainment channel Ovation from its lineup last month.

Comcast deploys HD DTAs, ponders TR-069

HD DTAs allow customers to access HD signals without the frills of VOD, PPV, etc.

The conference is an important next step for the RDK.

Muni broadband with a twist

There isn’t a city in the country that doesn’t want better broadband infrastructure. Several cities, tiring of waiting for the market to create those networks, have attempted to build their own.

Comcast TV Everywhere scorecard: 1.5B and counting
September 14, 2012 3:06 pm | by Mike Robuck | CommentsWith the fall TV season underway, Comcast issued a press release touting its TV Everywhere capabilities, which now includes a Web portal just for the fall shows, but what was notable in the release was that so far this year, Comcast said its Xfinity TV customers have already watched and streamed approximately 1.5 billion TV Everywhere shows across on-demand, online and apps.

Broadcom is ready with software to enable the approach.
