While yesterday's story in regard to Suddenlink losing 32,300 basic video customers over a 12-month period was accurate, Suddenlink spokesman Gene Regan e-mailed me this morning to point out that his company actually added 1,300 new basic video subscribers from the fourth quarter to the recent first quarter.

While 1,300 certainly isn't a huge number in the grand scheme of things, it is worth noting that quarter-over-quarter, Suddenlink did earn back some of its basic video subscribers, while its larger cable operator brethren continued to bleed out basic subs in their recent earnings reports.

Cablevision lost 8,000 basic video subscribers from the fourth quarter to the first quarter; Comcast lost 39,000; Time Warner Cable lost 65,000; and Charter lost 25,100.
