COMPANY:  Time Warner Cable owns and manages the most advanced cable TV operations in the U.S.  Our history has been one of innovation, including the design of fiber-coaxial technology that set the industry standards.  We've invested billions of dollars in new Cable, High-Speed Online and Digital Phone serves to bring them home to customers faster.  Our fully upgraded network allows us to deliver the future to the communities we serve.SUMMARY:  You will provide the leadership, strategic, and tactical oversight of the Syracuse/Binghamton Engineering and Technical Operations for 600K subscriber division across 15K miles of plant.  The VP will direct and manage all aspects of the digital and analog headends, data networks, distribution hubs and the deployment of all new technologies.  The position will also have responsibility for the Technical Operations group to include installation, service, maintenance, warehouse and dispatch.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY:--Working across functions, lead and direct all engineering for the division by ensuring the highest levels of system performance, reliability, quality of work best practices.--Create and maintain divisional engineering plans and strategies outlining future technologies.--Approve and oversee all design, engineering,electronics and equipment to meet or exceed quality assuring guidelines.--Prepare, manage and report on the capital and operating budgets  associated will all engineering and technical operations initiatives. Supervise,select, train, advice, promote, and motivate personnel.--Maintain good public and government relations by meeting with officials, organizations, or companies to discuss franchise, customer service, technical or contract issues.  Must have contact with union officials.QUALIFICATIONS:--Knowledge of cable industry, FCC rules, OSHA compliance, EEo regulation, and NCTA standards.          -Strong knowledge of local politics preferred.  Knowledge of analog and digital video, including MPEG.--Ten to fifteen years of advanced technology engineering experience in a related operations position.--Proven successful leadership of large scale technical departments.  Background in multimedia or broadband communications engineering in a Large scale system.--Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Business in related fields required; advanced degree preferred.FOR IMMEDIATE CONFIDENTIAL CONSIDERATION, please contact: Robert Seiden, Manager,Recruitment - Robert.Seiden@timewarner.com                                                                                                                   TIME WARNER CABLE                                                                                                                    THE POWER OF YOU
