Trilithic's analyzer, a la mode
INDIANAPOLIS-Trilithic Inc. has announced its Terminal Mode for the 860 DSP Multifunction HFC Analyzer, which transforms the unit into a general purpose field data terminal, providing Trilithic and other suppliers with an RF communications system for sharing technical and non-technical data with operators in the field.
The company makes Terminal Mode protocols available to all suppliers who want to use the new capability.
Acterna to demo new products
ANAHEIM, Calif.-Acterna's Cable Networks Division will be demonstrating new cable modem activation tools at the Western Show, including its Digital Service Activation Meter (DSAM), which offers the cable modem installer a way to increase deployment of high-speed cable modem services.
Using digital signal processing and integrated DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS chipset technology, the meter communicates with the network's cable modem termination system to exercise a cable modem installation from the subscriber's location. The DSAM uses the DOCSIS protocol and modulation formats to perform tests in-band and in-service, without the need for a separate test carrier.
Also on display will be the Sympulse Loop Verification Meter, a handheld return path certification device for high-speed services.
