nCUBE and Adlink complete world's largest digital ad insertion project
The culmination of a lengthy development and testing phase for digital ad insertion was reached when nCUBE Corp. completed a Digital Program Insertion (DPI) acceptance test with Adlink, the Los Angeles Interconnect.
nCUBE's DPI product provides digital-into-digital advertising insertion that gives local and regional cable advertisers the ability to target digital subscribers. DPI also represents potential new revenue from interactive addressable advertising.
The nCUBE/Adlink project is the world's first commercial deployment of DPI. nCUBE teamed up with Adlink and Terayon Communication Systems to deploy 12 DPI headends at AT&T Media Services in Los Angeles. Each headend has 40 digital networks serving in excess of 100,000 subscribers.
