With the emergence of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) standards and the PacketCable Release 2 specifications, MSOs are now planning for deployments of new enhanced voice services based on a converged network architecture for the potentially lucrative business market.
However, there’s a problem – many MSOs have extensive voice networks built on traditional telephony switches, so new services need to work seamlessly across both the legacy and IMS worlds. Likewise, business customers, while eager to adopt next-generation applications, have to consider how to integrate them with their existing networks, particularly legacy PBXs. So how can cable operators deploy new IP voice services in their existing networks, while serving the real-world requirements of business customers?
During this 60 minute Webcast, hosted by CED and sponsored by MetaSwitch, industry experts will examine the current and future converged applications requirements of the business customer and how cable operators can deliver these as they evolve their networks.
This live, free event will include information on...
- The applications requirements of commercial users
- Inside-Out or Outside-In – Evaluating network migration options
- The role of the Service Delivery Platform (SDP) in the carrier’s network
