Verizon offering Cisco WebEx services to broadband subs
By Traci Patterson
CedMagazine.com - March 17, 2008

Verizon's individual and small-business broadband customers now have access to two Cisco WebEx services – MeetMeNow and PCNow.

WebEx MeetMeNow – which is offered to Verizon customers for $34.99 per month with a prepaid, annual contract – allows users to share anything on their desktops, including PowerPoint presentations and webcams, with other users.

The MeetMeNow service allows for an unlimited number of online meetings with up to 10 participants, and it can be launched from a system tray icon or Microsoft Outlook application, or from AOL's, Yahoo's, MSN's or Skype's instant messenger services.

With WebEx PCNow, Verizon customers can use any Internet browser or mobile device to retrieve their personal files, programs, e-mails, calendars and contacts, Verizon said. And the telco includes 100 MB of online storage with the service.

Verizon customers can subscribe to WebEx PCNow for $9.59 per month, per computer, with a prepaid annual contract, or for $11.99 per month on a month-to-month basis.
