TiVo deals with Jaman to get indie content
By Brian Santo
CedMagazine.com - January 17, 2008

TiVo has arranged for its subscribers to get access to a library of American independent and international film titles through Jaman.com. The service will not be available for some months, however.

TiVo customers with either a TiVo Series2 or Series3 subscription, and with a broadband connection, will get direct access to Jaman's library.

TiVo said the deal complements the one it has with Amazon, which gives TiVo customers access to more mainstream TV and movie content though the Unbox service.

Jaman also provides its service through set-top boxes (STBs), PCs, Macs, and SanDisk's TakeTV and DivX.

With Jaman on TiVo, viewers will be able to both rent and purchase films starting at $1.99, and a number of shorts and full-length films will be available to download for free.
