Rentrak announced today that Time Warner Cable (TWC) has signed on to use its video-on-demand (VOD) measurement and analytical services.
The two companies signed a multi-year services contract, but the financial details were not released.
Rentrak’s OnDemand Essentials service provides cable operators, content providers and advertisers with a transactional tracking and reporting system to view and analyze on-demand content.
With the addition of TWC, Rentrak now manages more than 36 billion transactions from more than 45 million set-top boxes (STBs), 35,000 movie screens and 10,000 home video locations worldwide.
"Rentrak provides a variety of on-demand and linear data solutions for 23 MSOs and more than 90 broadcast and cable networks," said Cathy Hetzel, president of Rentrak’s advanced media and information division.
TWC joins a host of other operators that are using Rentrak’s on-demand measurement and tracking tools, including Bresnan Communications, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Insight Communications, Suddenlink, Verizon and WOW.
