Synacor offering free music to cable, telco customers' subs
By Traci Patterson
CedMagazine.com - April 07, 2008

Synacor has partnered up with AccuRadio to offer commercial-free music to consumers via the online portals of its cable and telco customers, which include Charter CommunicationsEmbarq and WOW!

Synacor's customers will be able to deliver 40 channels of music to their Internet subscribers, at no additional cost, as part of their online portal experience, the company said.

AccuRadio will offer a wide variety of music from all musical genres, including rock, pop, jazz, classical, oldies, country, R&B, pop, Latin hits and world music.

AccuRadio is an independent, multi-channel Internet radio property with nearly a half-million listeners per month. And because AccuRadio features a Web-based player, there is no need for consumers to download a separate music player.

Subscribers will have access to AccuRadio through white-label online portals developed and managed by Synacor. These portals provide users with an integrated experience on their homepage and allow them to enjoy content without ever leaving their primary Web site.
