Synacor integrates platform into WOW!’s online infrastructure
By Traci Patterson
CedMagazine.com - February 20, 2008

Synacor has completed the integration of its recently enhanced platform technology and white-label portal into WOW!’s online infrastructure.

The enhanced platform will power new features and functionality on WOW!’s customer Web portal and will deliver an improved online experience, Synacor said.

WOW! customers will continue to have access to online variety, music and security content, and now they will be able to enjoy a more personalized graphical user interface on their WOW! portal homepage.

The MSO has deployed the technology provider’s recently enhanced portal platform as the foundation of its online services. The portal features single sign-on authentication, which will allow consumers to gain immediate access to all of their online content.

“WOW! is working to expand its market share and maintain existing customer satisfaction in a competitive environment,” said Ron Frankel, president and CEO of Synacor. “It is important that they invest in a comprehensive online strategy that will complement and add value to their offline television services. We have been working closely with them to develop and deliver a completely new online experience that we believe will improve their customers’ overall service and solidify WOW!’s market leadership.”
