The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced the recipients of the SCTE Chapter Awards for 2007.

The following awards were presented at the 2008 SCTE Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC) in Atlanta:

• SCTE Chapter of the Year Award - Cascade Range Chapter (northwestern Oregon)
     • 2nd Place - New England Chapter
     • 3rd Place - Cactus Chapter (Arizona)
     • 4th Place - Great Lakes Chapter (southeastern Michigan)
     • 5th Place - Lighthouse Chapter (Maine)
     • 6th Place - Gateway Chapter (eastern Missouri)
     • 7th Place - Mount Rainier Chapter (northwestern Washington State)

• SCTE Chapter Member of the Year Award - Amanda Walton (Cascade Range Chapter), a regional fleet coordinator with Comcast Cable Communications in Vancouver, Wash.

• SCTE Compliance Award - Cactus Chapter
     • Most Improved Chapter (Compliance) - Llano Estacado Chapter (western Texas)

• SCTE Recruitment Award - New England Chapter
     • Most Improved Chapter (Recruitment) - Desert Chapter (southern California)

• SCTE Striving for Excellence Award - Cactus Chapter
     • Most Improved Chapter (Striving for Excellence) - Llano Estacado Chapter

• SCTE Professional Development Award - Cascade Range Chapter
     • Most Improved Chapter (Professional Development) - Red Rock Chapter (Nevada)

• Most Improved Chapter of the Year Award - Gateway Chapter
