Qwest divulged details about its fiber initiative, saying that it plans to upgrade its top 23 markets to a fiber-to-the-node (FTTN) architecture, which will rely on ADSL2+ for the final leg to provide broadband at up to 20 Mbps.

Qwest will offer a 12 Mbps service, called Titanium, and a 20 Mbps service, called Quantum. The company said the rollout will be phased.

The Titanium tier will go for as little as $47 per month in certain bundles. Qwest is offering the price “for life.” The bundle price for Quantum will be $100 per month.

Both of the tiers will include Windows Live.
