TWC adds video to SMB offerings

Time Warner Cable is adding cable TV to the portfolio of services it is making available for its third-party sales agents to offer to SMB customers, in addition to VoIP and data services.

TWC Business Class, the operator’s B2B unit, has assembled two packages for its new business cable TV product . One is a standard cable TV service package, featuring more than 77 channels, and the other a digital video service package, featuring hundreds of additional news, entertainment and sports channels. Both packages are available in high-definition versions; the HD versions require a set-top box and an HDTV.

“The addition of business cable TV gives our agents another high-quality service offering for their customers,” said Kurt Fennell, vice president of product management for Time Warner Cable Business Class.

Business cable TV is available now in all Time Warner Cable markets throughout the U.S.

One of the first sales agents in the TWCBC Partner Program to offer business cable TV is Intelisys, a master agency based in Petaluma, Calif. It specializes in providing a broad suite of telecom value-based solutions to top-producing agents.

TWC expects cable TV services will be appropriate for businesses to put in waiting rooms, private offices, lobby areas, auto dealerships, medical offices, fitness centers and employee lounges.
