With the expectation that network-based home security service is a growth market, Massillon Cable TV has joined the Comporium Security Dealer Program.

Comporium’s uControl system combines an alarm system, communications gateway and home automation platform into a single device . The product and service is capable of supporting not only security services, but also energy management, video monitoring and other applications.

“We are always on the lookout for complementary services for our customers,” said Massillon Cable TV President Bob Gessner. “In the near future, security monitoring will grow to encompass a variety of futuristic services that we want to deliver to our customers.”

Massillon is one of the nation's top-50 largest cable TV providers, serving 47,000 customers in central Ohio.
