• Telenet sticks with Sunrise tester
By Brian Santo

Sunrise Telecom said that Telenet, Belgium’s largest MSO, has standardized on one of Sunrise Telecom’s test units for use by its cable system field technicians.

Telenet will be using Sunrise’s CM2800E, which combines non-intrusive, high-resolution sweep and triple-play services, including video, cable modem and VoIP analysis in one instrument . It supports DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS and Annex A, B and C.

“Providing complex services, such as higher-quality digital video (HD), higher-speed data services, VoIP services and video-on-demand services, elicited a need to upgrade our network and our test tools with advanced functionalities,” said Dirk Speybroeck, Telenet’s vice president of service assurance. “The CM2800E will play a vital role in further increasing the reliability of service to our customers.”
