Ambit renames itself Ubee Interactive

Broadband, which also operated as Ambit Microsystems in the Americas, has changed its name to Ubee Interactive.

The customer premises equipment (CPE) manufacturer said the name change was the result of feedback gathered from extensive customer and employee surveys.

"Our new name and logo reflect the fact that we are a special company," said Maria Popo, president of Ubee’s Americas division . "We're small enough to be responsive and flexible, but large enough to support the world's largest broadband service providers."

Ubee products are in use at seven of the eight largest cable operators in the United States, as well as additional MSOs throughout the world.

Ubee Interactive will feature its new look in its display at next month’s The Cable Show '09 in Washington, D.C.
