Insight ups subs, revenues in Q2

In its second quarter of 2008, Insight Communications added 44,000 net revenue-generating units (RGUs), for a grand total of nearly 1.8 million RGUs.

Basic video subscribers increased by 3,800 in the quarter, for a total of 692,800. Digital customer net gain was 9,200, making 406,100 the company’s total number of digital subscribers.

High-speed Internet subscribers increased by 12,400, to total 424,600 . And telephony subscribers increased by 18,700, to total 230,300.

Total customer relationships at the end of the second quarter were 742,400, marking an increase of 42,600 customer relationships from the end of the previous year’s quarter.

Insight reported revenues of $214.8 million in the second quarter, an increase of 16 percent year-over-year.
