Harvey joins ActiveVideo Networks
By Mike Robuck
CedMagazine.com - September 04, 2008

ActiveVideo Networks said today that veteran new media and consumer products executive Jason Harvey has been named vice president and general manager of programming strategy and operations.

Harvey joined ActiveVideo Networks from Google, where he drove vertical business planning and strategy and management for new media and online sales in Latin America.

He previously had supervised the marketing activities of major brands such as Nissan Motor Cars and Land Rover, and he had been responsible for driving new business initiatives for Microsoft in Brazil.

With ActiveVideo Networks, Harvey will be responsible for maximizing the business potential of the ActiveVideo Distribution Network, including the acquisition, carriage and monetization of content.

“We see the creation of a strong content business that offers new opportunities for advertisers as a key part of the ActiveVideo value proposition,” said Ed Forman, executive vice president of products and services for ActiveVideo Networks.

Harvey is the second executive this week to be added to ActiveVideo’s management team. Yesterday, ActiveVideo announced that Edgar Villalpando had joined the company as senior vice president of marketing.
