Concurrent is stepping beyond its video-on-demand (VOD) roots with a new product line that provides advanced storage offerings to the ultra-high-performance segment of the general storage market.
Concurrent’s StorageMaster line will address the niche areas of the storage market that require very high-speed storage and retrieval, critical data I/O capability and advanced data prioritization. The new products leverage technologies from both Concurrent’s VOD and real-time product lines.
“Concurrent has a long history of serving customers in critical applications,” said Concurrent President and CEO Gary Trimm. “StorageMaster leverages our Red Hawk real-time operating system, content management expertise, and data analysis and reporting skills, allowing us to expand into the high-performance niche of the general storage market.
The first two products to be launched under the StorageMaster nomenclature will be a regional file server (RFS) and a general purpose storage product.
