Concurrent providing VOD equipment for TWC in Calif.
By Brian Santo
CedMagazine.com - July 11, 2008

Concurrent Computer has scored another $2 million worth of business to supply video-on-demand (VOD) equipment for Time Warner Cable’s (TWC) San Diego and Los Angeles systems.

The company said it anticipates additional orders from TWC during its current fiscal year 2009, as the MSO continues to rollout its Start Over service, which is predicated on Concurrent products.

With the installation, TWC Los Angeles becomes, in effect, the world’s biggest VOD deployment, claimed Concurrent’s new CEO Dan Mondor.

Mondor pointed out that Concurrent is displacing SeaChange in one of those markets, and SeaChange and Arris in another.

Separately, Concurrent recently performed a 1-for-10 reverse stock split.
