Comcast SportsNet Atlantic chooses Platformic for enterprise Web technology
By Mike Robuck
CedMagazine.com - April 08, 2008

Comcast SportsNet has deployed Platformic as the Web technology for its Comcast SportsNet Mid Atlantic unit.

Comcast SportsNet is a group of regional sports networks owned by Comcast that carry professional team programming in baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer as well as nightly sports-news and talk shows, post-game and shoulder programming related to local National Football League teams, and college sports.

The Comcast deal follows other recent Platformic deployments at BiCoastal Media and at Broadcast Company of the Americas.

Oregon-based BiCoastal Media deployed Platformic to provide hosted web services for 16 radio stations recently divested from Clear Channel. With a mandated accelerated schedule, Platformic rolled out 16 live websites in 20 days.

Platformic combines Web design software with the power of a CMS via the Web browser for a Web platform that lets users design, build and maintain Websites graphically while Platformic writes the code.

"Our powerful Web-driven interface allows users to create layouts from the simplest to the most complex without having to write a line of code," said Platformic co-founder Claudio Canive.
