Cable One has awarded Time Warner Telecom with a $2.5-million, multi-year contract to serve as the primary backbone Internet network provider for its Boise system.
Time Warner Telecom will provide Cable One’s Boise system with a 10 Gbps Ethernet network infrastructure to support the cable operator’s high-speed Internet offering.
The telecom has constructed dual-entrance facilities for Cable One, increasing reliability and supporting the company's business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
Time Warner Telecom also provides service to Cable One in Arizona and Texas . Cable One provides cable TV, high-speed Internet and telephony services to 720,000 households in 19 states.
Time Warner Telecom will change its name to tw telecom on July 1, the company said.
