The Cable Center's Cable Mavericks Lecture Series this spring will start with Doug Holloway, the president of cable investments for NBC Universal, speaking at Emerson College in Boston, Mass. on Feb. 11.
Also on the schedule are Doug Hurst, SVP and GM of non-linear distribution for Scripps Networks; and Annette Brun, VP of marketing for HGTV, who together on March 4 will focus on marketing and brand strategy.
Jeff Wachtel, EVP of original programming at USA Network, will share his insights on what it takes to create and maintain successful programming for today's consumers with students at UCLA's Anderson School of Management on March 11.
The Cable Center is lining up addresses by other executives, including Jennifer Caserta Priore, EVP of marketing, communications, scheduling and alternative platforms for The Independent Film Channel; Nick Davatzes, CEO emeritus of A&E Television Networks; Susan Packard, the president of brand outreach at Scripps Networks; and Bob Zitter, EVP and CTO at HBO.
