Broadstripe Prez, CEO Shreffler to leave MSO
By Traci Patterson
CedMagazine.com - July 24, 2008

Broadstripe President and CEO Bill Shreffler is resigning from the telecommunications company, formerly known as Millennium Digital Media. He will remain with Broadstripe as the company transitions to a new CEO, and he is set to depart later this year.

"My decision to resign in no way takes away from the pride I have for Broadstripe's accomplishments and for each team member," Shreffler said. "I have enjoyed helping build the company to what it is today. We have built a quality team and a solid company and expect the platform and team we built to continue to produce positive growth going forward."

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Shreffler will continue working elsewhere and will not retire.

"Bill loves building companies and will be pursuing other opportunities," spokeswoman Dee Porter told the Journal.

Prior to joining Broadstripe, Shreffler was the co-founder and president of Home Boulevard. He has also previously served as the president and COO of Cebridge Connections (now Suddenlink Communications), as well as the SVP of operations for Charter Communication's Midwest Division.

Additionally, Shreffler is currently a director with the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA).

"Bill has done a great job of building a customer focused organization and team at Broadstripe and the company will seek out a leader who we believe will be able to build upon the platform that Bill and the rest of the team has put in place," said Broadstripe Director Tyler Nau.

In early February, Broadstripe's COO John Brook resigned from the MSO to pursue other business opportunities and personal interests (story here).

Brooks was one of the four founders of Broadstripe. He founded the company in 1998, along with former Charter executives Kelvin Westbrook, Jeffrey Sander and Charles Payer Jr.

In September 2006, Shreffler was named the president and CEO of Broadstripe, replacing Westbrook, who was named chairman and CSO. Westbrook resigned from his position in October 2007.

Broadstripe provides voice, video and high-speed Internet services to about 110,000 residential and commercial customers in Maryland, Michigan, Washington State and Oregon.
