* Cablevision serves up more phone lines to SMBs

Cablevision Systems today announced that it is now offering small- and medium-size business customers across its entire footprint up to 12 lines of its Optimum Voice phone service.

Each line features flat-rate, unlimited local and long-distance calling and advanced calling features such as caller ID, call waiting and enhanced voicemail, at no additional charge.

* Trilithic exec named chairman of SCTE EAS Subcommittee

Arthur Leisey, the director of technology for Trilithic’s Emergency Alert System (EAS) Division, was recently appointed as chairman of the SCTE EAS Subcommittee.

The 33-year cable veteran has played a role in the development of EAS over the past decade.

Starting with the basic analog distributed EAS system, EAS has developed into a digital deployment within the HFC and IPTV infrastructures of today’s broadband plants.

Trilithic provides telecommunications solutions for broadband and RF & microwave markets worldwide.

* Trilithic names new product manager

Trilithic has hired Michael Zeyak as product manager in its Broadband Instruments Division. A Marine Corps veteran, Zeyak comes to Trilithic after nearly 21 years with Wavetek, Acterna and JDSU, and with a variety of experience in service and support.

“We’re glad to have Mike on board,” said Jim Harris, marketing director for Trilithic. “Trilithic is uniquely positioned to provide solutions that fit current needs while offering the flexibility to meet future industry challenges, and Mike is one of the team players taking Trilithic to that next level of customer engagement.”

* OmniBus launches VAR program for iTX

OmniBus Systems has created a value-added reseller (VAR) program for iTX, its software-based production and transmission system, aimed at traditional broadcast, IPTV, Internet and mobile TV applications.

Laura Kirkland, channel sales manager for OmniBus, said, “Resellers in Europe, the Pacific Rim and Asia have already joined the program, and we are in the process of recruiting many more.”
