Bresnan buys AdGorilla’s RevGen ad servers
By Traci Patterson
CedMagazine.com - March 26, 2008

Bresnan Communications has purchased seven RevGen ad server units from AdGorilla’s AdGorillaq division.

The equipment will allow Bresnan to expand along with its customer base and add or upgrade hardware and software as needed, rather than replacing its entire system, AdGorilla said.

“Of all the equipment we tested, the RevGen equipment stood out primarily because of its value proposition,” said Kelly Enright, Bresnan’s regional VP of ad sales. “It does everything we need it to do, including interfacing with our traffic and billing software.  Additionally, we found the RevGen unit to be reliable, and the small rack space it requires fits well into our headend design. That combination of compact design, reliability, software interface, when combined with its low price point, was tough to beat.”

The RevGen ad-insertion equipment was created for both large and small cable operators. Larger systems benefit from the modular design, which allows them to upgrade as needed, while smaller cable systems benefit from the minimal initial capital and headend space needed.

RevGen Systems offers systems for as low as $5,500, and the total rack space needed for a RevGen System is only 11 inches.
