SeaChange, TiVo extend Cardio to Cisco networks

SeaChange International and TiVo’s video-on-demand (VOD) system, originally released to work on Motorola-based networks, is now also available for Cisco-based networks. SeaChange and TiVo have also added some new features to the system, called Cardio. Separately, TiVo’s new Premiere 4 incorporates four digital tuners to record up to four programs simultaneously.

Verizon stirs in BBC America HD to FiOS lineup

Verizon FiOS is working on adding more HD channels, and on that note, it announced that BBC America HD is now available to its FiOS TV subscribers. BBC America HD is available in FiOS TV’s Extreme HD and Ultimate HD packages. The channel was already available in standard-definition on FiOS TV. Verizon said it also plans to add BBC America HD to its video-on-demand offerings soon.
